Vascular surgery

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is actively recruiting a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to join our expanding surgical team. This is a full-time, permanent position located at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

As a Vascular Surgeon, you will report to the Vascular Surgery Section Chief and be responsible for the full spectrum of vascular care, including :

Performing open, minimally invasive, and endovascular procedures.

Providing consultation and surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Supervising and educating surgical residents and students during clinical care and procedures.

Managing pre- and post-operative care, including discharge planning and interdisciplinary coordination.

Conducting patient evaluations via face-to-face, phone, Telehealth, and electronic consultations (e.g., MyHealtheVet, e-consults).

Completing all patient documentation, notes, and coding in compliance with VA policies and standards.

Participating in team meetings, peer reviews, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in both open and endovascular surgical techniques.

Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents and students.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Prior experience in a VA or academic health system preferred.

Work Schedule

Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m. | On-call responsibilities may be required.
