Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Test Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $67,500 – $99,000 per year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You'll Do
Job Summary
This position is for a Test Engineer to support new product and sustaining test programs including development testing, qualification testing, test report generation, enforcing test standards, and project management of complex test equipment for electro-mechanical actuators. Eaton Grand Rapids products include motor controllers, motors, electrical boards, gears, ball screws, no-back mechanisms, clutches, brakes, housings, electronic enclosures, bearings, pins, screws, and other related components.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on testing for new product development and sustaining programs
- Design and develop new test equipment for verification of electro-mechanical actuator during development, qualification, and production phases
- Write engineering documents including but not limited to test plans, procedures, and reports
- Work with Senior Test Engineers to design, build, and verification of test equipment through external suppliers
- Develop test equipment requirements from customer and product requirements
- Coordinate testing with outside test labs
- Support technicians in test execution and test equipment development
- Create and release engineering drawings and schematics
- Participate in troubleshooting and repair of test equipment
- Comply with Eaton's high expectations for a safe work environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or other Engineering or Engineering Technology degree0-3 years within a high-tech / manufactured production sector supporting new product development, sustaining, and / or testing related functionsEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
