Job description

Illinois Urgent Care Coverage - No Call Required

We have an ongoing locums assignment for an Urgent Care physician in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for part-time coverage with no call responsibilities, offering a great work-life balance.

Highlights

  • No call required
  • Ongoing assignment for supplemental income
  • Part-time need : 4 shifts per month minimum

Practice Setting

  • Outpatient Urgent Care clinic
  • Handles all patient ages
  • Support staff includes experienced NPs, RNs, LPNs, and MAs
  • Physician may be solo provider during limited morning hours
  • Patient volume is shared between 3 providers

    • Schedule

  • Seeking locums coverage starting Spring 2026
  • Ongoing, long-term interim need
  • Mix of 12-hour shifts available

    • Procedures and Cases

  • Standard Urgent Care cases (cough, flu, UTI, rashes)
  • Some Ortho, splinting, and suturing
  • Foreign body eye removal
  • STD testing and pelvic exams

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • Must hold an active Illinois state license or IMLC (LOQ) on hand.
  • Requires PALS, ATLS, and CSR certifications
  • Minimum 24 months of relevant experience

    • Credentialing Requirements

  • Standard credentialing process
  • Plan for 120 days for privileges
  • Temporary privileges are not available

    • Travel Accommodations

  • Travel and lodging provided
  • Malpractice insurance included for the assignment
