Hospital Specifics-

Requested Skill Set : Cardiac / telemetry experience, and PCU and / or critical care experience. \n\nThe PCU delivers highly individualized care to medical, cardiac, and surgical complex patients requiring intermediate care such as : Sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, tachycardia, heart blocks, post cardiac catheterization, AKI, CKD, diabetes mellitus with ketoacidosis, CVA, acute and chronic respiratory failure, GI bleed, pneumonia, post-operative day one coronary artery bypass grafting, post-operative day one aortic valve surgery, post thoracic surgery, post neurosurgery, as well as other complex patients.\n\n Advanced skills needed : IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion / management, tracheostomy experience, CVC management, EKG, Foley management, early patient mobility\n\n Procedures performed on unit : Foley placement, IV insertion, wound vac management, DKA management, EKGs, DHT / NG placement, patient ambulation, ADLs\n\nCertifications Required : BLS and ACLS
