About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36.00

Experience : Two years current experience required in an 18-plus bed telemetry / progressive care unit. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

License : State Nursing License (must be from a Compact State)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through recognized organizations. Traveler must provide or pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia / Dysrhythmia Assessment exam prior to or during the first week of assignment.

Must-Have : Selected candidates must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test.

Description :

Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.

Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.

Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.

Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and the healthcare team.

Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.

Administers medication and treatments as prescribed and documents according to policy.

Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.

Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred experience includes Epic EMR experience.
