Job Duties :
ARES Corporation is seeking a Contract Manager with Government contracting experience. This position will be based at our McLean, VA office and will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
The selected individual will :
- Provide cradle to grave contract administration of prime contracts and subcontracts in accordance with contract requirements, federal / agency regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a broad range of contracts and agreements.
- Complete comprehensive reviews of customer contracts and terms and conditions.
- Provide interpretation of contract terms and conditions to management and other functional groups.
- Identify and manage contract changes, act as a focal point for internal and external (customer) communications on contract matters and resolve customer and contract problems and issues.
- Advise management on contractual matters; compile and analyze data / information; maintain historical information / files.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.A minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in a contracts management position.Experience in contracting with the U.S. government; experience in aerospace is desired.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), as well as various U.S. government contract types.Knowledge of Federal contract formation and proposal preparation.Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.Strong planning and organization skills. Proven attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization, including ability to effectively interact with and engage senior management both internally and externally on key issues during the contract and compliance process.Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.Contract certification (CCM, CPCM, or CFCM) is desired.US Citizenship requiredARES is an equal opportunity employer and complies with E-Verify.
