POSITION TITLE : Business Office Manager
SALARY : $80,000 PER YEAR
Summary of Position
Manages all financial and administrative operations of the business office, specializing in the revenue cycle, Medicaid application processing, and compliance within a high-volume long-term care setting. Ensures timely billing, accurate financial reporting, and strict regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Medicaid Management : Oversees all new Medicaid applications through corporate approval. Meets with residents / responsible parties to manage financial obligations, secure income assignments, and complete Representative Payee forms.
Financial & Compliance : Manages resident PNA and confidential trust funds. Directs AR, adjustments, and third-party billing. Manages collections and provides past due reports. Ensures expert knowledge of state / federal nursing home guidelines, including participation in Triple Check and facility safety compliance.
Office Operations : Supervises, organizes, and evaluates business office staff (bookkeeper, receptionists). Processes facility data and maintains constant communication with the Corporate Office. Handles general administrative duties.
Requirements
Experience : Minimum 3 years' experience in nursing home bookkeeping is preferred; critical experience in a high-volume long-term care environment is required.
Skills : Detail-oriented, organized, ability to prioritize and multi-task. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and agencies. Proficient in independent decision-making and handling confidential information.
