Job description

Koontz Bryant Johnson Williams (KBJW) is seeking a Civil Intern to join our growing team in our Richmond, Virginia office. This position is aimed at enthusiastic and self-driven students enrolled in an accredited civil engineering program. As a Civil Intern you will be primarily focused on developing your ability to successfully execute tasks while learning production tools and software, providing high quality engineering and design documents.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Performs engineering plans as assigned by senior staff.
  • Assist in the compilation of data and performs design computations.
  • Collaborates closely with engineers and other team members to support various project tasks.
  • Ability to take direction from leadership and management to execute projects.
  • Providing crucial administrative support to keep projects moving forward.
  • Ability to thrive independently and within a team.

Qualifications :

  • Actively enrolled in accredited engineering program
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCad, Civil 3D preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Prior internship a plus
