Patient Care Associate (Night Shift OR Day Shifts) – $20 / hr (W2)

New York, NY 10019 | 37.5 hours / week

About the Job

We’re looking for a Patient Care Associate to join our hospital team in New York, NY . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care, teamwork, and the fast pace of hospital life.

You’ll assist nurses and medical staff, support patients with their daily needs, and play a key role in keeping the unit safe, clean, and organized.

Key Responsibilities

Record patient vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations)

Perform EKG, phlebotomy, and specimen collection

Assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and toileting

Keep rooms clean, safe, and comfortable

Support RNs during procedures

Document patient care activities accurately

Respond to call lights and transport patients as needed

Help with meal delivery and dietary coordination

Float between Med Surg, Telemetry, and Critical Care units

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

2+ years of hospital experience (required)

Active certifications :

BLS (Basic Life Support)

EKG

Phlebotomy

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Dependable, compassionate, and adaptable

Schedule & Details

Shift :  7 AM – 3 : 15 PM (Day Shift) | 11 PM – 7 : 15 AM (Night Shift)

Hours : 37.5 per week | 5 days / week

Every other weekend required

Must be comfortable floating between units
