ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Perform a variety of non-destructive testing and inspection duties on high temperature alloys following established methods and procedures.
• Maintain all required records and reports.
• Prepare inspection reports and documents in prescribed form and detail.
• Check shape, rounds, rectangles and other alloy items for dimensional and sub-surface flaws.
• Identify alloy to insure ordered specifications.
• Mark and identify defective items following accepted practices.
• Operate Chamfer to bevel ends on a variety of materials following established methods and procedures.
• Check completed items for compliance with pertinent dimensional, hardness, material coding and identification, general hardness and other specifications.
• Release accepted materials for packing.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• As required or directed, perform in-process inspection, receiving inspection, and other duties as required.
• Detect and report defective material, improper operation and unusual conditions to proper supervision.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to pass In-dept vision screening
• Qualified Per T.I. QC 18.
• Must be able to use shop mathematics, decimals and fractions.
• Work from shop orders.
• Make simple use of charts, tables, standards, and specifications.
• Use micrometers, gauges, dials, verniers, and oscilloscope.
• At least 1 year manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Abide by the ethical standards and requirements established by the ethics code.
• Employee must be familiar with the ATI Quality policy and this policy must be used as the guide in performing every aspect of the job.
