Purchasing Manager - Plan, direct and coordinate operations to source and purchase international wine; plan, develop and implement goals and strategies to efficiently source products to reduce costs; evaluate suppliers; build wine vendor relationships; review the quality of products; conduct wine tastings and selection of fine wines; manage international supply chains; locate suppliers and determine product availability and terms of sales; review purchase orders, price proposals and contracts; prepare and process purchase orders; develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans; resolve disputes with suppliers; maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries and inventory. REQS : 2 years of experience in the job or in executive positions dealing with wine sourcing, wine vendor relationships, wine tasting / selection and managing international supply chains for companies that source international wine.
