CVICU RN Job Details – Lake Havasu City, AZ

Location : Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403

Assignment Type : Travel nurse, Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Blended ICU

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,250–$2,310 per week

Patient Population : Adult, Geriatric

Unit Size : 16 beds

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Call Requirements : Yes

Float Requirements : Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as primary RN, Emergency Department (ED) holding as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Arizona or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Travel nursing experience preferred

Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed

Proficient in managing STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair / replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR

Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in accordance with hospital standards

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Operate and troubleshoot Baxter infusion pumps and utilize Medhost EHR system

Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac and trauma care as needed

Float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as required

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and attendance guidelines
