Job Description

Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance as prescribed or assigned. Install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance to sprinkler and irrigation systems. Safely and effectively operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, chainsaw, power trimmer, and other equipment used in lawn and ground maintenance. Safely and properly apply chemicals including but not limited to fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools. Maintain driveways, parking lots, and walkways by removing debris, litter, snow and / or ice. Assist with basic maintenance to equipment. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma is preferred. Prior experience preferred. Must possess basic knowledge of necessary equipment and the appropriate safety standards. Must be able to perform duties in direct exposure to the weather which may include periods of extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather. Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift. Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas. Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools. Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to obtain / maintain any necessary certifications and / or licenses.

Compensation pay range - $15.00 - $16.25 an hour.
