Lead Engineer - Electronics Design Engineer - Avionics

Akkodis is recruiting for a Lead Electronics Design Engineer for a manufacturer in the Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL areas. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $90K annually to $157K annually depending on experience, education or location. This position offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements and is based in Grand Rapids or Clearwater, FL with a presence in the office 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.

Job Description

Lead Engineer – Electronics Design Engineer – Avionics – Performing tasks for any portion in the design lifecycle of a circuit card assembly. Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Executes standard operational / technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task / duties based on changing work situations.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Responsible for architecting moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems that include both digital and analog components.
• Perform the design, simulation and verification of a circuit card assemblies (CCA) and manage the requirements with the applicable tool.
• Prepare the necessary documentation for product development and certifications.
• Testing and integration of the circuit card assemblies installed in chassis.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy / strategy.
• Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
• Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions / parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills.
• Explains technical information to others.
