Shipper Job Opportunity

Currently hiring Shippers for a full-time job opportunity in the Coatesville, PA area. The Shipper will be responsible for following customer orders, operating a forklift to move the larger material to designated areas, as well as being comfortable measuring and cutting material to specific dimensions that are specific for the customer order being filled. Prior warehouse experience will be required to be considered for this role as well as the ability to use a tape measure / ruler to be used when measuring the material on a daily basis. This is a full-time and long-term opportunity so reliability and being able to commit to a 40-hour work week will be expected.

Responsibilities :

• Operate a sit-down forklift to load steel plates onto trucks for shipping.
• Follow customer orders for precise shipping processes.
• Palletize products and transport them throughout the shipping department.
• Read and measure using a tape measure up to 1 / 32.
• Measure steel plates prior to shipping and grind and deburr imperfections.
• Package products in the correctly sized box or container.
• Complete necessary shipping paperwork and bills of lading.
• Keep the bench and work area clean and organized.
• Learn different grades and gauges of material.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $18.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
