Position Summary :
The Trade Settlements Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end settlement process to fulfill trade program commitments for a designated portfolio of customers. This includes validating trade deductions, processing disbursements, resolving pricing and non-trade claims, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage trade settlements and maintain strong customer and internal partnerships.
Key Responsibilities :
Trade Settlements & Deductions Management
- Manage trade settlements and customer deductions, including validation, discrepancy resolution, and obtaining appropriate approvals.
- Process settlements through deduction clearing, check payment, or preauthorized credit for both external and in-house customers.
- Ensure all settlements are completed accurately and within established performance targets and accrual validations.
- Maintain and organize supporting documentation for audit and reference purposes.
Analysis & Reporting
Measure and report on program attainment and trade spend effectiveness.Research and resolve pricing-related deductions across all U.S. and Canada sales divisions.Identify invalid customer deductions, initiate recovery processes, and reject non-compliant claims.Assist in resolving non-trade-related claims, including fines and fees.Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work closely with Sales Management to ensure accurate trade program execution and settlement alignment with business strategies.Identify funding sources for trade program settlements and ensure timely processing.Support process improvements to enhance deduction management and reporting efficiency.Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred .Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required , with at least 2 years of business experience .Experience :
Minimum 2 years of experience in trade settlements, accounting, or related business functions.Skills & Competencies :
