  • Our client is a leading provider of energy-efficient ventilation and cooling solutions, founded in Denmark in 1947, with subsidiaries in the United States, England, Germany, and the Netherlands, and sales offices in India and Singapore. It redefines ventilation and cooling solutions by providing innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable cooling solutions for data centers and large-scale industrial applications. This position can be remotely based, preferably on the U.S. West Coast or near the customer’s U.S. headquarters in San Francisco.

    About this Position

    The company is looking for a dynamic Business Development Director to cultivate strategic customer relationships and uncover new opportunities within the data center industry. You’ll thrive on selling sustainable solutions and help shape the future of energy-efficient cooling for data centers. You’ll have the opportunity to drive growth across the U.S. market while also making a positive impact on our planet. This role reports to the Director, Global Data Center Sales at HQ in Denmark. Ability to travel up to 70-80 days annually is expected.

    Role Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Drive growth with an existing hyperscale data center customer (CA, US), focusing on long-term partnerships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships in the data center market, leveraging your expertise & network to kick start initial sales and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy in collaboration with the Director for US & Global Hyperscale Data Center Sales.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a national sales & technical support team in the short- to mid-term.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets based on key performance metrics.
  • Engage with Rep firms, consultants, OEMs, end-users, and contractors to promote the client’s solutions.
  • Represent the client at industry events and conferences.
  • Work closely together with HQ’s Sales Engineers to deliver customized technical solutions.
  • Stay up to date on industry news and trends, including the latest product-line developments.
  • Your Profile Your Education & Work Experience

  • Min. bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in the HVAC industry and a good understanding of data center technologies.
  • Background in selling data center cooling solutions (preferred).Strong network in the data center industry (preferred).
  • 2+ years in a team leadership position, managing sales engineers or sales application engineers (nice to have).
  • 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales or key account management.
  • Proven track record of managing the full sales cycle and achieving ambitious sales targets.
