Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Applications Engineer for our client. This role focuses on developing and optimizing probing, tool-setting, and in-process measurement cycles for CNC machines. Responsibilities include writing and refining macro programs to improve automation, conducting cycle time studies, customizing post-processors, and providing best practices for probe calibration and gauging.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Develop and optimize probing, tool-setting, and in-process measurement cycles for CNC machines.
• Write and refine macro programs for CNC automation and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct cycle time studies and process evaluations to identify potential optimizations.
• Customize post-processors and CNC configurations to align with customer needs.
• Provide guidance on best practices for probe calibration, tool measurement, and in-process gauging.
• Assist customers with CNC programming challenges and metrology integration.
• Evaluate customer machining processes and recommend software and automation improvements.
• Support the Sales and Product Management teams in configuring and demonstrating metrology solutions.
• Work on internal R&D projects to refine and expand automation capabilities within CNC machining.
• Create and deliver technical training materials for CNC probing and automation best practices.
• Develop application notes, white papers, and programming guides for internal and external use.
• Provide documentation and support for new software features and tool-setting technologies.
