Get Fresh Produce started in 1982 as a retail produce store in Chicago, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. Get Fresh is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals. Get Fresh Produce executes distribution of more than 13 million cases annually to 3,000 customers.

We work every day to drive consistency in the areas most important to our customers : Customer Service, Quality, Food, Safety, Reporting, Technology.

Essential Functions :

• Preparing driver schedules, approving time off requests, discipline, and attendance issues
• Daily dispatch of drivers and assigning all equipment needed for the day
• Route recommendations for maximum efficiencies
• Directly supervise drivers and yard spotters on all facets of compliance with DOT and safe driving compliance.
• Hands on management such as ride-a longs for coaching and training as needed. Safety of our fleet, drivers, and the public.
• Communicate service issues to sales, customer service, and Operations team
• Works closely with Dispatch personnel and Director of transportation to provide best-in-class delivery expectations.
• Coordinates with Operations to ensure customer and driver needs are met.
• Participate in the hiring of Drivers : interviews, road tests, paperwork.
• Participate in Safety investigations, review and reporting with root-cause analysis.
• Review performance and service levels with customers on delivery experience.
• Good understanding of samsara software system and ability to navigate, through samsara.
• Have a good working understanding of the CBA, (collective bargaining agreement)
