Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Neonates Patient Volume / Census : NICU patients Admissions : Yes Rounding : Included Case Mix : Level 3 NICU, High Frequency Ventilation, Nitric Oxide, Simple Surgeries (e.g., hernia repair) EMR System : Cerner Specialty Backup Available : Two neonatologists during the day, one at night Support Staff Available : Neonatologists, nursing staff Reason for Coverage : Scheduled locum support Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Credentialing Timeline : days Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Intubations Umbilical lines Neonatal resuscitation Active MD license or IMLC NRP Level 3 NICU experience within the past three years Pediatric Hospitalist experience in NICU setting Board Certification : Neonatology Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Cerner EMR Provide inpatient care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting Perform neonatal procedures including intubation and placement of umbilical lines Collaborate with neonatology team to ensure continuity of care Document clinical activities using Cerner EMR Participate in simple neonatal surgical procedures as required
