About the Unit :

The PCU unit is a unit where our vent / trach patients go when not in the ICU. You would see patients ranging from Cardiac, Neuro, Trauma, Med / Surg as well as others that are ready to be out of the ICU or getting ready to go to ICU. This unit will take cardene drips for hypertensive urgency, insulin drips, and high acuity patients that require frequent rounding. This unit is great for nurses who want to eventually go to the ICUs.

Mount Carmel East features a fully integrated cardiovascular center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a dedicated Women’s Health Center, a maternity center, a Network Cancer Program, and a comprehensive orthopedics and spine program. About the job :

The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
