Guest Service Agent

Are you a night owl with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for hospitality? Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook is looking for a dependable Guest Service Agent to join our overnight team. In this role, you'll wear many hats : from guest service expert to, problem solver to security support. You'll be the calm, capable presence that keeps our hotel running smoothly through the night.

Schedule : Monday Friday | Overnight Shift : 11 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM

Compensation : $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet and assist guests during evening and overnight hours with check-in, check-out, and any inquiries or requests.
  • Accurately audit and reconcile daily hotel transactions, including room charges, restaurant and retail charges, and payment methods.
  • Run end-of-day processes in the property management system and generate daily reports for hotel management.
  • Ensure the accuracy of room rates, taxes, and posted charges, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Monitor the lobby and public areas, ensuring guest safety and security throughout the night.
  • Address any guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office and Accounting teams to maintain financial integrity and high service standards.

Qualifications :

  • Prior experience in hospitality, front desk operations, or accounting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hotel property management systems (preferably Hilton PEP system) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers and financial reporting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or accounting is a plus.
