Regional Account Manager (RAM) Position
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) position is within our Hematology and Nephrology Franchise, a division of Alexion, and will focus on aHUS. The RAM will be assigned a sales territory focused on Academic Centers, Community Hospital Systems, Physician Clinics, and Infusion Centers primarily focused on Nephrology and Hematology. This individual would be responsible for the growth and expansion of the aHUS portfolio.
You will be responsible for :
- Consistently achieving or exceeding sales objectives in assigned territory
- Creating and maintaining strategically targeted account-specific business plans
- Developing and maintaining strong in-depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge
- Collaborating closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders
- Handling customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology
- Demonstrating the ability to educate on the clinical approach to specific disease states
- Being trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in hospital and infusion center environments
- Leading the implementation for our patient-centric partnership model
- Effectively utilizing CRM tools to manage time, resources and workload
- Executing local promotional activities and programs for therapeutic areas
- Providing a high level of product expertise and customer service to all accounts
- Proactively interacting with Alexion management to refine product and market initiatives
- Performing work in alignment with and adhering to all Alexion's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Alexion policies and procedures
You will need to have :
Bachelor's degree5 years pharmaceutical sales or equivalent experienceProven, documented track record for delivering consistent, 'Top-tier' sales resultsAbility to work independently as well as interdependently in a team-oriented environmentStrong clinical acumen and account-based selling, analytical and strategic skillsDemonstrated ability to seek out and qualify leads and profile new accountsAbility to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships with healthcare providersEffective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilitiesMust live in the geographic territory or live within 50 miles of the geographic territory borderAbility to travel within territory on a regular basisValid driver's license and clean driving recordThe duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. Advanced or master's degree5 years pharmaceutical sales or equivalent experienceSales experience in the orphan or ultra-orphan areaBio / Pharma; Nephrology, and / or Oncology experienceThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,813 to $229,219. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program; and a retirement contribution.
