Travel Nurse Job Details Job Title : PICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Location : Akron, Ohio (zip 44302) – Ohio nursing jobs Contract Type : Travel nursing contract Start Date : November 11, 2025 End Date : February 3, 2026 Duration : 12 weeks Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,250 - $2,310 Orientation : 24 hours Float Requirement : Willingness to float to acute care units and NICU, including Summa location Weekend Coverage : Required PICU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Active Ohio or Compact State Registered Nurse License (must be in hand at time of submission) Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS EPIC charting experience preferred Experience with Trauma Level I or II preferred Ability to float to competent units as needed Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in the PICU Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as ECMO and CRRT Provide care for post-operative heart and neurosurgery patients Utilize specialized equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, and Servo ventilators Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and more Float to acute care units and NICU as needed to support hospital staffing Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system Ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
