SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Calender Operater operates the calender to produce a finished tape in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesObtains daily shift schedule from Calendering / Mixing Shift ManagerChecks with Calendering / Mixing Shift Manager for any NSOPChecks operating specificationsVerifies recipe on Beta GaugeChecks specification for Corona Treater (if needed)Checks all safety interlocks / guards before start-upChecks top, middle and bottom roll temperatures, and records each hourMonitors Beta Gauge; adjusts weight as neededMonitors adhesive bankFollows “Red Tag” procedures if requiredFollows all plant housekeeping and safety rulesAdjusts the calenderMakes preventive maintenance and safety inspections
