Commercial Finance Business Partner
This role is part of the Commercial Finance Business Partnering team, focused on supporting the CSL Seqirus operations across North America (US and Canada) and key business partner to the VP of Commercial Operations North America.
The purpose of this role is to provide financial support to the regional commercial head across financial reporting and planning process but also strategic decision and projects. The size of the portfolio is approx. $1bn in Revenue and $100m in OPEX across the US and Canada.
The Role
Strategic Financial Leadership :
- Trusted advisor to VP Commercial North America to develop strategies, ensuring financial plans align with goals.
- Primary finance partner providing insights and guidance on budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the development of budget and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining strategic focus.
Business Partnering & Decision Support :
Provide proactive, data-driven financial insights to support critical decisions.Be a trusted advisor to Commercial leaders, offering financial recommendations on product pricing and channel strategies to maximize impact and profitability.Manage economic research e.g. market and competitor analysis, and financial modelling to provide reports and recommendations to management.Perform complex financial modelling and analysis for strategic and operational decision support.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) :
Oversee the budget and forecast process, ensuring accuracy and reporting of important financial metrics.Provide ongoing financial analysis to monitor spend and assess its effectiveness in driving outcomes.Develop financial measurements, tracking performance against targets, and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.Understanding key drivers of US gross to net adjustments (c.$250m), preparing analysis to support month end accruals, as well as supporting the financial audit process. Includes approval of gross to net payments in Model N.Internal Control :
Provide external financial audit support at half-year and full year, including preparation of documentation and analysis, and working with auditors to provide business insight for items as requested and resolution of issues raised observing agreed timelines.Support ensuring that financial processes follow CSL policies and that proper controls are in place, as applicable.Advise on alternate financial plans and potential impact of current and future laws and regulations.Team Leadership & Development :

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirable.Professional certification (CPA / CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.10+ years experience in accounting, finance or similar roles including financial analytics and planning.3+ years in commercial finance in a business facing role where there is demonstrated understanding of the value chain in the US life sciences preferred.Demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.Expert level Excel incl. data analysis functionality, good skills in other MS-Office applications; SAP and Business Intelligence / Financial Consolidation applications (e.g. BW / BI, SAP BPC, SAC) including Power BI. The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $200,000 - $225,000. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
