Description :

Our ICU is home to highly-trained staff who care for a wide range of patients, from neonates to geriatrics.

We are equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

We provide care for cardiovascular patients who have undergone various surgical interventions.

Our team is experienced in caring for those undergoing both interventional and non-interventional procedures.

We utilize advanced therapies requiring specialized equipment.

The primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care for assigned patients.

You will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.

Collaboration with all members of the healthcare team is essential to promote evidence-based care within a healing culture.

Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

ADN is required; BSN is preferred.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively is required.

Basic computer knowledge is necessary.

This position is deemed safety-sensitive.

COVID-19 vaccine is required, with exemptions allowed.

Flu vaccine is also required, with exemptions allowed.

Skills :

Accessing and managing ports

Arterial line management

Assistance with chest tube insertion / removal

Management of BiPAP and CPAP

Blood product administration

Interpretation of arterial blood gases

Ventilator management and care of the ventilated patient

Management of cardiac interventions and devices

Management of dysrhythmias

Care of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction / failure

Surgical nursing skills

Patient Age Groups : Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Daily Census : Approximately 15 patients

Patient Ratios : Typically 2 patients per nurse

Interdisciplinary support available includes IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

Our unit addresses various patient diagnoses and utilizes specialized equipment.
