Assistant General Manager

The Progress is seeking an Assistant General Manager with a Wine Focus. This position will support the General Manager to oversee nightly service, daily operations, as well as, assist the Beverage Director with all aspects of the wine program.

Job requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Overseeing daily operations, assisting with staff education, and maintaining the dining room and facilities
• Direct communication with GM, Chefs, Beverage Director, management team, and staff
• Dynamic, active dining room support while ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience from start to finish
• Leading our team and fostering our culture
• Strong sense of warmth and hospitality; a sincere desire to provide guests with best possible service and experience
• Previous restaurant management experience is preferred
• Physical stamina : ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk up to 5 miles per evening, including stairs (we have three dining areas on the second floor of our restaurant)
• Proficient computer skills and professional written communications
• Experience using OpenTable or other reservations software is preferred
• Desire for longevity
