Description

The Overhaul & Repair Inspection Apprentice will aid and support the manufacture processing of overhaul and repair aerospace components which are critical to the flight safety on both rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft.

Responsibilities :

• Ability to learn and evaluate overhaul inspection result and disposition accordingly
• Ability to develop repair procedures per DMWR, approved planning, and customer requirement to expeditiously and cost effectively repair components as required
• Ability to create inspection plans for overhaul and repair as required per DMWR and customer requirement
• Ability to develop and create planning and standard work processes to support analysts, engineers and applicable personnel.
• Provide thorough documentation and communication of regular job activities such as problem resolution, continuous improvement, engineering tests etc.
• Formulate and design tooling fixtures for new components and existing components
• Assist in assembly and testing as required
• Interact with customers as required
• Assist in planning and expediting repairs as required
• Assist in the development of SAR (Source Approval Request) packages for future business

The position requires confident and quick decision making in a fast-paced repair environment. The ability to move from one task to another on a moment's notice is essential.
