Director Of Career And Workforce Education
The Director of Career and Workforce Education will provide full leadership and oversight of all non-credit workforce and apprenticeship programs, ensuring they are responsive to employer needs and aligned with Butler County's workforce priorities. In addition, the Director will collaborate with academic leadership and faculty on the design and coordination of academic credit-bearing apprenticeships, supporting integration between workforce training and academic pathways. The Director will champion innovative strategies that connect education to employment, expand partnerships with local business and industry, and position Butler Community College as a regional leader in workforce and apprenticeship education. In addition to providing input on the recruitment and supervision of full-time and part-time instructors, instructional support staff, and other personnel, the Director will connect education to employment through the design and growth of apprenticeship and work-based learning models. The Director will formulate and document organizational strategies, sales and marketing plans, goals, and policies that promote workforce development, drive industry collaboration, and ensure responsive, future-focused training opportunities for students and employers alike.
A. Must be able to interact professionally, strategically and effectively with community partners, business / industry, government, funding partners, students, instructors, staff and administration. B. Capability to exercise independent judgment. C. Excellent organizational and time management skills. D. Superior oral and written communication skills. E. Demonstrated understanding of professional credit program development to meet current and future workforce needs. F. Proven ability to use data in decision-making processes. G. Proficiency in basic word processing, spreadsheets, and database management software. (Microsoft Office) H. Strong skills in sales, marketing, and negotiation. I. Comprehensive understanding of budgeting practices, particularly related to revenue generation and cost-based accounting. J. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
A. Minimum of 5 years of administrative / management leadership experience in revenue-generating organizations (Required). B. Teaching and / or corporate training experience (Preferred). C. Curriculum development experience (Preferred).
