Position Overview :

Seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join our high school team for the 20252026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student growth and success through individualized instruction, case management, and collaboration with general education staff and families. Youll work with a caseload of approximately 3032 students , supported by 23 paraprofessionals in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction based on individual student goals in academic and functional areas
• Oversee the daily work of paraprofessionals and provide instructional guidance
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Manage compliance and documentation related to IDEA and state requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents / guardians and participate in IEP meetings
• Support student behavior plans and apply positive behavior strategies
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
