Senior Associate - Valuation and Credit Risk
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly valuation analyses of companies and their associated securities across diverse industries using comprehensive qualitative and quantitative data through internal valuation models applicable to private credit and equity investments.
- Oversee the performance of portfolio companies, including financial data analysis and the interpretation of key metrics.
- Effectively communicate trends, performance drivers, and key credit metrics of portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with the Deal Team, Finance / Operations Team, Trading Desk, Credit Rating Agencies, and external valuation consultants to ensure alignment and accuracy in analysis.
- Research and identify comparable companies utilizing public market data to inform valuation assessments.
- Integrate and synthesize data to support, challenge, and reconcile analytical conclusions, including conducting back testing and stress testing where necessary.
- Recommend enhancements and updates to processes, procedures, and methodologies to align with industry best practices.
- Assist with the fulfillment of external audit requests as needed.
General Qualifications
Solid understanding of capital markets, corporate securities, and capital structures, with proficiency in financial modeling and fundamental analysis.Strong capability in financial statement analysis and interpretation.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.Proficient in interpreting complex legal and financial documents.Familiarity with financial platforms such as Geneva, Everest, Bloomberg, and / or CapIQ is advantageous but not mandatory.Excellent oral and written communication skills complemented by superior analytical abilities leveraging public data resources.Desired Background / Education
2-4 years of experience in utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies (such as Discounted Cash Flows and Market Comparables) within sectors including private equity, investment banking, valuation research, or consulting. Prior experience in Credit / Direct Lending is preferred.Progress towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly desired.Employment Details
