The Nurse Educator will play a vital role in supporting clinical staff development through education, training, and mentorship, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice and professional growth. This role is ideal for an RN with a solid background in Medical-Surgical and Labor & Delivery nursing who is passionate about teaching and clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for clinical staff, with a primary focus on Med / Surg and Labor & Delivery nursing. Serve as a resource and mentor to new and existing nursing staff, promoting high standards of patient care and clinical competence. Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and provide ongoing professional development. Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff. Stay current with nursing best practices, technologies, and regulatory standards, integrating them into educational offerings. Required Skills & Experience : Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Medical-Surgical nursing . Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor & Delivery nursing . Strong clinical judgment and a solid foundation in general nursing practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Education Requirements : Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program. Licensure & Certifications : Active New York State RN License . Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) . AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
