Summary : CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our Registered Nurse Performs patient-specific duties in the area of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, and will coordinate pre and post operative care for patients undergoing procedures at outside hospitals or surgical centers.

Required Duties and Responsibilities : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs phlebotomy successfully.
• Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders / requisitions.
• Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing.
• Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines.
• Arrange and manage pre-operative lab orders, diagnostic tests and clearances.
• Review pre-op labs and communicate concerns to providers.
• Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
• Provide pre-operative and post- operative instructions to patients.
• Performs transvaginal and abdominal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds.
• Conduct pre-op and post -op phone calls to ensure readiness and support recovery.
• Track and follow up on pathology reports after surgical procedures.
• Supervises all licensed practical nurses and medical assistants.
• Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.

Education / Experience :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program.

Language Ability :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities :

Medical Terminology

Demonstrate proficiency in injections

Demonstrate proficiency in venipunctures

Demonstrate proficiency in administering oral medications

Time management skills

Certificates and Licenses :

State Registered Nurse License

CPR / BLS
