We develop CoStar's customer-facing Real Estate Analytics products and specifically the CoStar for Lenders product development team, which focuses on data-intensive applications, high-volume data pipelines, and secure, scalable systems.

This role is located in San Diego (UTC Area) and is in office Monday through Thursday with work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with Product and Technology leadership to deeply understand complex functional requirements and drive implementation of technical solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to determine the architectural direction based on project needs, effort, resourcing, and timing.
• Understand existing systems and document them so you become a go-to source of architectural information across multiple systems.
• Act as an architectural subject matter expert and provide guidance to technical leadership and developers.
• Drive and evangelize architectural principles and guidelines to ensure high-quality, consistent results across teams.
• Partner with engineering managers to ensure adherence to architectural best practices.
• Create, organize, and maintain architectural diagrams and system documentation.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentoring on topics such as microservices, micro-frontends, and high-volume data streaming / event processing.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve existing or new systems.
• Develop deep understanding of the CoStar business and align technical work with strategy.
• Design well-instrumented solutions to ensure stability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Advocate for security and build secure software products and platforms.

Salary : Base salary range of $211,000 - $297,000, plus a generous benefits plan.
