Mechanical Engineer for Land and Air Systems

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES :

As a mechanical engineer for Land and Air Systems in the Range Systems business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring mission excellence of our ruggedized communication devices. You'll be expected to engage with all aspects of Engineering disciplines through all phases of Product Design. This business area drives the mechanical engineers to provide the most practical and cost-efficient methods to design, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and product development. Leadership expectations focus all members of the cross functional team to determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. From concept design to customer delivery, you'll be involved with research and engineering laboratory functions involving the design, fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems, as well as system integration and testing of hardware.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences : CAD Modeling (Creo or SolidWorks), Mechanical Analysis, and Rapid Prototyping techniques.

Combined Salary Range

USD $88,651.00 - USD $96,000.00 / Yr.
