About The Position

Monday–Friday daytime schedule – no nights, weekends, or call

Collaborative role with Colorectal and Urology surgeons for pre-surgery site markings and patient / family education

Manage both inpatient and outpatient wound / ostomy care

Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based wound management techniques

Educate patients and families on ostomy care, skin maintenance, and life adaptations post-procedure

Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care

Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Job Requirements

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (by start date) – Required

Active NY License (or willing to obtain) – Required

WOCN Certification – Required (No Exceptions)

Knowledge & experience with wound care and ostomies – Required

DEA (or willing to obtain) – Required

Minimum 1 year NP experience (preferably in wound / ostomy care) – Highly Preferred
