Schedule Day Shift - 3x12.0 hours. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, while promoting a safe environment for patients and staff. Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans. Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct care based on the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel effectively. Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures. Assume charge responsibilities after orientation as requested, contributing positively to the unit's functioning. Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. ACLS required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
