Position Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Early Childhood Intervention Program . This role involves working closely with infants, toddlers, and their families—primarily in home and community settings—to assess developmental needs and deliver individualized therapeutic interventions that enhance independence, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate infants and toddlers to assess developmental delays in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote functional independence in natural environments.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting strategies to achieve meaningful developmental outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation aligned with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Educate and coach families on therapeutic activities to support progress between sessions.
- Collaborate with families to align interventions with their goals, routines, and cultural values.
- Apply evidence-based practices to support physical, sensory, and cognitive development.
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with families to enhance engagement in the child’s therapy journey.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Requirements :
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy programLicensed (or license-eligible) Occupational Therapist in the state of TexasOne year of pediatric experienceStrong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to create engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy strategiesCompassionate, family-centered approach to careWillingness to travel to homes, daycare's, and other community settings
