The AVP, Portfolio Manager provides financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the bank's credit products and services to middle market and other business clients and prospects. The role monitors assigned credit relationships for covenant compliance, collateral monitoring, and credit deterioration as applicable; conducts annual loan reviews and assesses risk ratings; and determines credit worthiness and credit decisions in collaboration with Credit Administration. The position requires adherence to the bank's policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate and structure lower complexity credit requests, including asset-based lending, term loans, and commercial real estate loans.
• Perform independent credit analysis and risk assessment of new and existing credit requests (financial statement analyses, third-party reports such as property appraisals).
• Draft loan documents with Relationship Manager, prepared by outside counsel or in-house counsel.
• Recommend credit actions by preparing the Credit Approval Report (CAR) for Credit Administration decisioning.
• Coordinate with Loan Administration to obtain due diligence information, perform risk rating reviews, and monitor covenant compliance and ticklers.
• Review Letters of Interest (LOI) for consistency with loan documents and CAM.
• May participate in joint customer calls with Relationship Manager to assess client needs, business, and management team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures; stay current with banking regulations and complete required training.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appraisals, borrowing base reports, and collateral examinations.
• Complete Problem Loan Status Reports (PLSRs) with guidance from management.
• Monitor Risk Ratings for Borrowers under the Bank's Risk Rating Policies.
• Uphold the bank’s values and conduct; maintain ethical standards and integrity.

• Perform duties safely and report potentially unsafe conditions in accordance with OSHA standards.
