Job Objective : The Supervisor Distribution is an entry-level leader who is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing the day-to-day operational activities of their designated distribution center. This role is responsible for training and developing hourly employees, estimating personnel needs, assigning tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of work, and interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Shift : Monday-Friday : 2nd Shift : 2pm-11pm

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position :

• Supervise the department distribution functions, including reviewing orders and / or schedules to ensure that activities within the department are completed according to established schedules, determining work priorities and work assignments required to meet the established schedule, and coordinating proper staffing and equipment needs to accomplish daily operational objectives in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Maintain necessary inventory of materials and supplies in the work area to satisfy daily operational demands.
• Supervise the movement of finished goods through the warehouse from receiving through shipping and returns.
• Select, hire, train, and appraise Distribution Team Members to attain the highest quality standards of service and achieve optimal productivity levels.
• Complete performance evaluations and perform continuous performance feedback.
• Provide a safe work environment that meets the guidelines of the Company safety program while achieving the departmental safety goals.
• Continuously measure / monitor performance according to established standards.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education : Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent education and / or experience. 4-6 years relevant experience or equivalent education and / or experience. 0-2 years of management experience.

Competencies : Requires specialized depth and / or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
