Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Director of Billing & Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of collections & billing operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, & compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, & a proven track record of driving process improvements in collections & billing functions.

What youll do :

  • Lead & manage the collections & billing team, providing direction, support, & development opportunities.
  • Develop & implement strategies to improve collection rates & reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Oversee the billing process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, & compliance with company policies & industry regulations.
  • Monitor & analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports & insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes & enhance operational efficiency through automation.
  • Establish & maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any billing or collection issues promptly & professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws & regulations, including tax & financial reporting requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize collections & billing processes.
  • Manage the budget for the collections & billing department, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Skills & knowledge you should possess :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within collections & billing.
  • Proven track record of improving collection rates & reducing outstanding receivables.
  • Strong knowledge of billing processes, financial regulations, & compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership & team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative & high-performance work environment.
  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients & internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software & tools, with advanced Zuora & Excel skills.
  • Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed) :

  • Experience in the video technology industry is a plus.
  • Targeted Base Salary Range : $117, to $178,

    The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
