Position Overview

A facility in Norwich, CT is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment. This dual-level care unit manages both telemetry and PCU patients and serves as a Primary Stroke Center .

Unit Details

Unit Type : Dual-level PCU / Telemetry

Beds : 25 total (9 PCU-level beds)

Ratios : Floor side : 1 : 5–6

PCU side : 1 : 3

Charge Nurse : May be required to take charge as needed

Common Diagnoses : Chest pain, stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis

Requirements

Experience : Minimum of 2 years preferred

Licensure : Active CT RN License (or willingness to obtain)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Schedule : 3x12-hour AM shifts, 36 hours / week

On-Call : Not required
