Automation Assembly Technician

Position : Automation Assembly Technician

Location : Huntsville, AL

Job Summary :

Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of new, custom-made automation equipment. This includes mechanical assembly of complex mechanisms, pneumatic assembly and routing, electrical wiring and setup of electrical components, and wiring of custom control cabinets. In addition, reading schematics and BOM's to correctly assemble and wire the automation project. Also possess the ability to recognize design deficiencies or malfunctions where immediate determinations or corrections are needed to enhance quality and / or safety.

Other Duties :

• Layout, drilling, and cutting with hand power tools.
• Travel and work in unfamiliar environments (25%).
• Work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Inspect equipment for quality and safety issues.
• Work hours and shifts as necessary for installations.
