About The Position

Job Title : Anesthesiologist – Full-Time

Location : Pueblo, Colorado (option to reside in Southern Colorado Springs)

Start Date : As soon as credentialed

Join a physician-led, collaborative anesthesia team with UCHealth in Pueblo, CO. This role offers a dynamic mix of complex case exposure, professional autonomy, and work-life balance with minimal call requirements. Ideal for anesthesiologists seeking a comprehensive clinical practice in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities :

Provide anesthesia services across multiple care settings : Level 1, 2, and 3 trauma centers, and outpatient surgical centers

Case mix includes : trauma, OB, major spine, vascular, thoracic, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, GI, and general surgery

Perform both independent and supervisory anesthesia care

Emphasis on regional anesthesia and nerve blocks to improve outcomes and reduce complications

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; engage in mentorship and optional teaching / leadership

Use Epic EMR for integrated patient documentation

Shift, Weekend & Call Details :

Shift Structure : Minimal call with established nocturnist support; occasional home call with 45-minute callback time

Weekend Coverage : Minimal weekend call with nocturnist backup

On-Call Requirements : Infrequent home call; call demands are reduced due to nocturnist staffing, supporting a healthy work-life balance

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements :

(All required at name clear unless noted)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 5 years of residency) – REQUIRED

Active Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED

DEA license (must be obtained prior to start; no exemptions) – REQUIRED

Clean malpractice history – Preferred

Visa support (J1 / H1B) available only for the Pueblo position – REQUIRED if applicable
