Database Research Engineer

A company is looking for a Database Research Engineer to design innovative algorithms for data warehouse performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with product teams to understand customer needs related to data warehouse cost and performance

Research parameters affecting database performance and propose improvements to products

Create rapid proofs of concept for algorithms aimed at enhancing database performance and cost

Required Qualifications

Significant experience or a PhD in Database systems with experience in analytical databases

Extensive experience with database performance tuning techniques

Experience in conducting methodical experiments with controlled variables

Familiarity with SQL, databases, data warehouses, and big data processing tools

Experience mentoring engineers in database performance and rapid prototyping
