The Diagnostic Imaging Professional performs diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries. This involves positioning radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities :
Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with professional values.
Position radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
Explain the radiographic procedure to the patient, obtain a complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to be performed.
Communicate effectively with the patient.
Provide staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
Implement and monitor local, state, and national regulations, standards, requirements, and clinical protocols for radiologic imaging services.
Maintain x-ray equipment by performing scheduled cleaning / tests and document results.
Maintain and update patient and study information to ensure billing and RIS / PACS accuracy; handle patient records while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager.
Responsible for maintaining continuing education required for licenses and job positions.

Requirements : ">
Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT (R), (CT) Preferred.
CPR Certification is required.
