We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join a company on the Leeward side. In this role, you will oversee financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking, while supporting tenant and vendor relations. Responsibilities :
- Prepare and reconcile annual budgets, quarterly financial reports, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analyses for leases, licenses, and other agreements to ensure accuracy.
- Verify tenant sales reports and calculate percentage rent, including annual reconciliations.
- Assist with the evaluation and renewal of vendor contracts and monitor contractor performance.
- Manage expense coding, monthly profit and loss reviews, and year-end accruals.
- Facilitate construction-related processes such as bond administration, permit renewals, and other compliance tasks.
- Coordinate the integration of lease documents into the company's accounting system and prepare third-party billings.
- Support asset management activities, including lease administration, tenant coordination, and data collection.
- Maintain filing systems for critical documents and track deadlines for permits, contracts, and other obligations.
- Assist in preparing annual and long-term financial plans, including valuations and presentation materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, lease administration, or asset / property management.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, financial reconciliations, and budgeting processes.
- Knowledge of leases, contracts, and percentage rent calculations.
- Experience with real estate or property management software, such as Yardi.
