Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. The Leap Discounts Accountant will work alongside Product line Finance & Operations driving optimal performance and linkage to our reserve methodologies and project execution for the Discounts Controllership Team, a key part of the GE Aerospace Services portfolio. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis for our NPI products. Necessary to utilize in-depth understanding of key business drivers and knowledge of best practices to accomplish tasks while considering how own area integrates with others.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables / payables, intercompany, etc. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process / accounting services.
• Developing specialized depth and / or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice / quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
• Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
• Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working.
• Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Desired Characteristics :

The base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $146,700. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
