Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We've designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We're looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Overview

The Recruiting Manager will play a pivotal role in contributing to the team's mission to attract and onboard a diverse workforce that will bring the Joby mission to fruition. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. The selected individual will maintain a workload of requisitions as well as supervise the work of their direct reports. This role is onsite in one of our California locations (Santa Cruz, San Carlos or Marina).

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of recruiters to ensure the achievement of hiring targets and deliver an exceptional candidate experience, while fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
• Full-Cycle Recruitment : Oversee and develop the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation, with a commitment to diversifying the candidate pipeline while maintaining compliance standards.
• Talent Sourcing : Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract diverse and high-quality candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals, while actively seeking out underrepresented talent.
• Employer Branding : Collaborate with MarComms to enhance the company's employer brand and attract top talent from diverse backgrounds.
• Partnership Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their hiring needs and provide strategic recruitment support with a focus on creating and maintaining a best in class experience.
• Data Analysis : Utilize data and metrics to track recruiting effectiveness and efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to advance efforts in recruitment.

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $125,600-$167,500 / year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
